The first step in building a home is to develop a
budget. We work with several lenders who can help
you develop a budget and who can provide construction as
well as permanent financing.
After developing a budget we recommend meeting with
Jefferson Homes to discuss:
Selecting an area and a site
Begin to develop a conceptual design
Select a site for your new home. With our
experience we can help guide you through the process of
evaluating a site and the costs associated with building
on the site.
Finalize the design of your new home. You can
choose from our plans and make modifications, or we can
design a home just for you.
Make selections for the interior and exterior finishes
of the home.
Begin construction. We welcome you to visit the
site as often as you wish during the construction
process and we are ready to answer any questions you may
have.
Schedule a walk-through prior to occupancy to
familiarize yourself with the operation of the systems
in the home and ask any questions you may have.
